- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

1. Soak the dried codfish in water for at least 4 hours or overnight. Drain and flake into small pieces.
2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, onion, carrot, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
3. Add the flaked codfish to the bowl and mix until a dough forms.
4. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
5. Heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
6. Using a spoon, drop small balls of the dough into the hot oil, about the size of a small egg.
7. Fry the croquettes until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
8. Remove the croquettes from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
9. Serve hot and enjoy!
